World's Worst Blogger

So, I am pretty sure that I will be getting the award for the world's worst blogger. I cannot believe that I have not posted anything in months. Life has been a little busy, but hopefully I will be able to dedicate some more time to crafting. I did make some halloween treat bags yesterday and thought that I would post them.

The first set of treat holders I just used orange and black as I was unsure how they would turn out and did not want to waste my good Halloween paper.

This treat holder is quite small, but can hold a little bag of m&m's or a kit kat etc.

This treat holder fits a kit kat bar just perfectly.

These little bags were alot of fun to make. They are sooo super simple. I used my cricut to cut out the images on the fronts of the bags. The images were cut from the Mini Monsters cartridge.

Side view - they would probaby hold 4 or more little treats. They would also be good as treat bags for a birthday party as they are around the same size.

I am hoping to get some more time to craft this week. I will post again soon (fingers crossed).

This is my second post this week. That is a record for me. ha ha I covered a composition notebook for my 2 1/2 year old. This is the first time that I have ever done this. It turned out okay. I will definitely have to invest in an ATG gun if I want to continue covering these as it took half a roll of snail runner to cover this one and I didn't even cover the insides.

Wow - where has the time gone? It has been over two months since the last time I posted. That is TERRIBLE!!!! Life has been pretty crazy lately. I have not had a whole lot of time to craft. I really do hope to update my blog more often, but I guess I should not make any promises. ha ha

Today I am posting a card that I made for a friend. The panda and bamboo are from the Create a Critter cricut cartridge. The background was embossed using the Cuttlebug. I believe that it is the Diamond Plate. The paper is all from stampin' up.

Sick!!

Well, my plan to post once a week has been foiled. The kids and I have been fighting a terrible cold for the past two weeks. I cannot seem to shake it. I think that it might be because I never get any sleep. That and the copious amounts of snot, the sneezing and the coughing that the children seem to love to do all over me probably does not help :o(

I would really like to cover some composition notebooks this week for one of my daughters and nieces for Easter, so I am crossing my fingers that I will feel well enough to do this. I have never covered a notebook before, but I am going to give it a shot.

Does anyone have any other fun ideas for the children for Easter?

A New Beginning

I have realized that I am a terrible blogger . I will be honest, I originally set up this blog so that I could enter to win a Cricut Expression through My Pink Stamper. I did not win :o( Anyways, since then I have posted a couple of things, but I haven't really kept up with it. I have decided to make a commitment to myself to post at least once a week which means that I have to allow myself time to do some paper crafting. I currently have one follower Canadian Nickel Scrap'n (thank you). I would like to double that by next week. That shouldn't be too hard should it? ha ha ha I will give it a try. For today, I will post three cards that I made at the Stampin' Up Club night that I went to last Wednesday and a couple of other cards that I made in the last week.

Here is another card that I made on my own yesterday. It is very simple, but I think that it turned out okay. I wish that I would have layered the brown on top of the green instead of the other way around.

I also made this card using the Cricut Paisley cartridge. I cardlifted the idea from Creations with Christina. I really needed some inspiration and I thought that this card she made was absolutely adorable. I added googly eyes to mine and put it on a white cardbase. I LOVE googly eyes. I would add them to everything if I could. ha ha

Windy Wednesday

It was really windy here today. It was far too windy to take my two little girls anywhere, so we were couped up in the house :o( Unfortunately, I did not have any time to make any cards etc. I have added a couple of cards that I made a few weeks ago.

This is a baby card. I believe the duck on this card is from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge. It is very plain and simple.

This card was for a baby boy whose name started with the letter Z. I embossed the brown cardstock using the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl embossing folder.

I made this card for my husbands parents. It was for their 40th wedding anniversary. They are farmers. I learnt afterwards that going around the edges of my cuts with chalk would add definition. I will definitely try that technique in the future.

Very First Post

I am very new to paper crafting and although I do not really have an artistic eye, I love it. I have a very simple, plain, sort of cookie cutter style. Most of the things that I make look very similar to eachother.

For my first post I thought that I would share an 8x8 scrapbook that I made as a baby gift for a friend. There are no pictures in it as she is to fill it with her own memories. I have never scrapbooked for myself, nor have I scrapbooked with pictures. I hope that she likes it.
